What will the weather be like?

What should I bring?
On your fishing charter, you should bring sunglasses, hat, sunscreen, camera, food and beverages. All ice, bait, and tackle is included in the charter.
Where are you located?
The Pelagic is located at the Sea Water Marina at 400 Atlantic Beach Causeway, Atlantic Beach, NC 28512. (Map below)
In February and March, we are located at the Marina Pez Vela in Puerto Quetzal, Guatemala. You can find the location here.
Is fish cleaning available?
Yes, fish cleaning is available at the Marina and is usually about $1 per pound. This includes ice and bagging.
What is the average tip for the mate?
The typical tip is 15%-20%. Minimum tip of $400 is mandatory. Minimum tip of $500 is recommended. Mates work extremely hard before (getting ice, rods, rigs), during (fishing hard), and after (cleaning rods, reels, boat, rigs) the charter.
How many people can come on the charter?
The 61′ Pelagic is US Coast Guard approved for up to 6 people.
What time do we leave?
Full day Atlantic Beach charters leave at approximately 5:30 AM and arrive back around 5:00 PM. Three-quarter day charters leave around 6:00 AM and return around 2:00 PM. Half day charters leave around 7:00 AM and return around Noon or leave around Noon and return around 5:00 PM. Please arrive at least 15 minutes early.
Where do I stay?
You have many lodging options in and around Atlantic Beach. Palm Suites is in Atlantic Beach close to the boats. There is also the DoubleTree by Hilton in Atlantic Beach. There are also many locations in Morehead City, which is just over the causeway.
How much is the deposit?
A $300 deposit is required and can be paid online. If the captain determines the weather is bad or has boat problems, we will reschedule at no charge or refund 90% of the deposit because of credit card fees. Also, only 90% refunded for any other reason. The captain has the right to refund none of the deposit if he desires.

Do I need a fishing license?
No. We have a blanket license on the Pelagic.
Can I pay my balance?
Balances can be paid in person on the day of your charter or online. A $100 surcharge is added to balances paid by credit card online or in person.
